I'm so busy dealing with orders, I haven't had much time to read.  But am reading Loving Jenny by Theresa Weir.

(I have no idea why I'm sending out all these books, I barely read print anymore so hardly need credits. But I would rather they went to someone I know wants them than just to the library sale, I guess.)

Today I read The Lady and The Locksmith by Cody Young.  I didn't find much about it to recommend.  1 star.   Also ended up DNF'ing The Rebel by Julieanne MacLean.  Besides being VERY short (29 pages), it seemed very silly and predictable.

Not sure what's up next.

I finished MJP's Roses and Thunder, it was a good read, but have no idea what the title had to do with the book. Also finished Tessa Dare's Three Nights with a soundrel and really liked it. Suzanne Enoch has wrote a prequel ebook to her Scandalous Brides series. All it did was reenforce that Oliver was a bad man. Not sure what the reasoning behind putting it out was. We got their history in A Beginner's Guide to Handling a Rake.

I never really thought about the title, Keri. There's a Theodore Sturgeon story with that title, and a band -- I suppose either might have inspired it.  And a pretty song that came after the book: http://www.lyricstime.com/pam-tillis-thunder-and-roses-lyrics.html

I finished Mariana by Susanna Kearsley.  It really pretty much blew me away, to be honest.  I could not put it down, and the ending really blew my mind.  I am still figuring out why I didn't see it coming.  I hate it when books make me feel dumb, lol.  I finished it 2 days ago and am still mulling it over.  That is the mark of a good book, IMO, so I think that makes this one among the top 5 books I"ve read this year.

I had trouble figuring out what to follow that up with and finally settled on According to Jane by Marilyn Brant.  It's just OK so far.  Too much high school angst for my tastes- I keep hoping the characters will grow up at some point, but so far they age chronologically but stay 15 emotionally.  Meh.

I finished Dream Lake the other day.... it was a quick, fulfilling read.  It takes a talented author to make me fall in love with a hero who up until his own book has been nothing but a depressed, bitter, selfish alcoholic.  I ended up really liking Alex, though, and Zoe was just perfect for him.

I'm reading Beyond the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy. I accidentally read the one following this one first but I don't think it's going to make a big difference. I hate when I do that though.

Keri, I am SO jealous.  I keep waiting for B&N to have Nightwalker available, but so far, nothing.  I can't wait for it.

I finished Abduction by Varian Krylov. Its definitely not for everyone, but if the subject matter doesnt bother you, then its actually very good, once you get past the slow start.

I also read Paramour by Margaret Ethridge. I really like this one. It was a quick, fun read. A bit sad at times.

I dont know whats next yet. I DO know though, that I really need to put the Kindle down and pick up a paper book. Man I havent read anything other than my Kindle for weeks, and thats sure not helping my paper TBR!!!

I am DNFing According to Jane, at least for the time being.  I picked up Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor and Rainshadow Road at the UBS yesterday, so decided to start the first one.  Have never read any Kleypas before so am looking forward to this, after all I have heard.

Forever and a Day by Jill Shalvis was good.  The chemistry those two had was off the charts.  I still think I liked Amy's book the best though.   Not sure what's up next.  I have so much to do and I really need about three of me to go around.

Started the Angel by Tiffany Reisz and am not liking it much -- realli disappointing after The Siren was so incredible. Maybe it will pick up. A lot of tell not show so far and the actual show is pretty disturbing.

Dang, there's a lot of good reading going on right now! Willa, keep us informed on the Riesz book. Siren's almost down to me on my wl, and I have the next one on there too. I'm reading I Want Candy by Susan Donovan. I think she's a ntm author for me. It's not too bad really, actually pretty good. It's a mixed racial couple (in the making), and I didn't realize that until I was reading it. lol - not sure how I missed that. They're old friends. He's had a crush on her forever, and she's just seeing him in a new light. They've only kissed twice so far, but the chemistry is really good.

Tonya, that is a fun series. Have you read Cheri on Top, the first in the series? I thought Candy and Turner had a lot of sparks and that kiss when he pulled her over...whewww nellie!! Singed my fingers. I can't wait for Unwrapping Taffy, he's an extreme makeover, which you find out at the end of your book and she has an extreme personality makeover...she is going to have to for me to like her, because right now, I have no sympathy for her. I started Dare's Twice Tempted by a Rogue and so far it has been great!

I just finished Laying Down the Law by Delilah Devlin on my Kindle.  It's pretty good, but I wish it was longer.  I am, however, hooked enough on it to read the next book in the series, whenever it comes out!

I read a m/m novella, Backwoods by Cara McKenna. Loved it! I want to read the follow up now but I dont want to pay almost $5 for a 74 page book. Backwoods was only 90 somethin pages but I got it as a freebie at one point in time.

I also read a horror book tonight, omg....it reminded me of the movie Killer Clowns from Outer Space. LOL

I dunno whats next yet...
