Been a slow weekend for me! Still reading the same book - Deception by Amanda Quick. It's a good one but I just haven't been in gear!

Started Bound by Flame...so far the heroine has uncontrollable emotions, sounds like my teenage niece, ARGH, not sure if I'm going to like this one but am hoping it gets better.

I'm currently reading Blood of an Angel by Anya Bast. It's the 3rd book in her Embraced series.

Started Last Night's Scandal by Loretta Chase.  I am trying to read some wish listed books this week.  I forgot how funny these two kids were.

Hubby spent all day yesterday watching football, so I spent the day reading.  Finished Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas and loved it.  What a great story!

Started The Education of Madeline by Beth Williamson (new to me author) and I must say I am really getting into it.  It's a western set a few years after the civil war.  Madeline saves a man from being hung outside of town and offers him a "special" job, among othes, around her ranch.  She is also the local banker, which is unusual for the time, who is currently being set up by the local judge and sherriff.  The local busybodies make a few appearances and her good friend runs the local dry goods store.  I would recommend to others, even if they were not into Western themed romances.

Diana - I have that on my wish list (the Beth Williamson book).  Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

I'm reading Lynn Kurland's The Very Thought Of You.  I just love her books.  I'm not usually too keen on too-strong, I-don't-need-anyone heroines, but Margaret's vulnerability showed through pretty early and I like the interaction between Margaret and Alexander.

Last night I read California Cowboy by Maggie Casper.  I absolutely hated the hero.   What a jerk!  I think the book was too short - reactions and emotions all over the place.  C- at best, for me.

Woke up not feeling too good this morning so I pulled out a comfort read - Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh.  I think its even better this time around (2nd read).  Singh is a freakin' genius.  I love her books.

ETA: Finished Slave to Sensation.  Even better the 2nd time I read it.  Hawke and Lucas and Dorian and Vaughn and Clay and.......  wink

Now I'm reading The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros

I finished Deception by Amanda Quick - loved it! So glad I never read historicals so now I have a LOT of her backlist to catch up on! well think I've read maybe 6-8 of her Quick titles plus the Arcane ones under that name...so that leaves about 50 more LOL! wellm aybe not 50 but she definitely wrote a lot and lucky me doesn't seem to tire of the same types of heroes/heroines!

thinking Heaven Texas by SEP will be up next or possibly another library book..have to see what I'm in the mood for at bedtime!

I've been a mystery tear lately, but today I've switched to one of the Regencies in my romance TBR, Magic at Midnight by Sandra Heath. So far, so good...

Read Tracker's Sin by Sarah McCarty - If you liked the earlier Hell's Eight titles this one doesn't disappoint. Now I have to wait for the next one!

I haven't read Tucker's Claim so I can't say for sure, but the editing definitely leaves a lot to be desired.  It's not so much typos or grammar that are the problem--it's the readability and flow. A good story line, but it could have been even better with decent editing.

I just finished Tracy Wolff's Tease Me.  Boring!  Well, it was erotica so the sex was scorching, but not much plot and the suspense storyline was poorly fleshed out and too easily resolved.

Not sure what I'm going to try next.

I read some more of Last Dragon Standing last night, and it is definitely getting better.  I think I am a third through....the first quarter, I didn't like too much. Hopefully it will continue to improve.

Friday I finished Renegade (Elite Ops, Bk 5) by Lora Leigh. Much better than the previous book in this series. The story actually really had me hooked. And I've always liked Nik. The storyline did get a little confusing at times -- I think Leigh introduced too many "players" into the suspense. But overall, finally, a solid read in this series.

I usually don't like to read LL's back to back, but I need to continue the Nauti books for the challenge I'm in. So I'm almost finished now with Nauti Nights (Nauti Boys, Bk 2). A little better than Nauti Boy, but still not great.

Slowly getting through The Virtu. Only my affection for the characters is keeping me going, because it's one of the most badly-structured books I've ever read.

Ok, I finished Bound by Flame...Not great and bearly good . :(   read Tea With A Dragon by R.A. MacAvoy to shed my dissapointment. Think I will start Cooke's Kiss of Fire next. Haven't read any of her books yet and think this one is part of a series.
