I can't believe there's not a post for this week yet!  If I missed it somewhere, my apologies.

I bought Jennifer Ashley's The Untamed MacKenzie today and it was a quick read.  It's a novella, about 175 "screens", and is on sale for $1.99.  It's the story of Inspector Fellows, the MacKenzie's bastard brother.  It was good.  I had been looking forward to his and Louisa's story and it didn't disappoint.

Not sure what's up next, I'm supposed to be clearing out and packing for our move in 2 weeks, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

I am reading the unabridged, original book, The Virginian by Owen Wister.  I enjoy westerns a great deal and this one is among the best I've read.  Nothing brilliant, nothing profound.  Just good entertainment.

also listening to another Lynsay Sands vampire book- the first one that I skipped when I first started and somehow never got back taround to reading. A Quck Bite- about halfway through it and it's slow-moving..still ok though.

I reread Wildest Dreams by Kristin Ashley and am now rereading Fantastical also by her. I have started and put down so many books in the last coupe of weeks and am just not finding many I'm in the mood for. Of course it could be because I[m still hooked on Supernatural and am watching too  much Sam and Dean. Not that that is possible.

I read JA's The Untamed MacKenzie as well. Loved it!! Wish it could have been longer as I love Lloyd, but looking forward to Daniel's book. I read Cathryn Cade's Walking In Fire NTM author and I really enjoyed it. Don't read too many books about Hawaiian Heros, so it was different with a lite touch of erotic. Currently reading Jo Goodman's The Price of Desire and I am finally reading one of hers where it just isn't clicking with me. I am having a hard time getting handle on the h/h and who they are and how they arrived at where they are. A LOT of great reading ahead in the next coming month though...can't wait!!

I read Anna Campbell's A Rake's Midnight Kiss and thought it was good.  Much "lighter" than some of her other books, but I enjoyed it.

Now I'm reading an Ellora's Cave book for review.. can't even think of the title or author.  LOL   Needless to say, it's not good at all.  My review should be a doozy!

still reading the same mystery and listening to Lynsay Sands' A Quick Bite - good thing I didn't start the series with this one (book 1) or soon after - mightnot have continued. athe hero in this one is mortal a psychologist who marguerie 'kidnaps' to get their daughter lisianna over her blood phobia so she can feed from bagged blood. turns out his mind is very strong and they can control him but just barely and not even the strongest vamp there can erase his mind so they call in Lucian the oldest immortaL and when he can't they talk about doing a 3 way sweep on his mind which usually renders mortals insane...and none of this was the guy's fault- I know it turn out good at the end but still...the arrogance the argeneaus have in this story so far is the worse!

I am still on a Rock Chick bender- powered right through Regret and into Revolution now.  I just finished chapter 7, and part of me wants to stop right there...(spoiler) hero and heroine just declared their love for each other, and it's so happy and nice, I almost don't want to read any more, because I know these books, and know some crap is about to befall them and it will get way worse before it gets better.  All I can say is it better be worth it- I would hate to think that the best part of the book was at only 18% into it!

Susanna, I felt exactly the same way.

I've got a breather between reviews so decided to do some series catch up with Archangel's Consort.

Sherri you're not still doing the 911?

No, I'm not.  After 9 years I was just plain burnt out.  I took a 6 week sabattical and now I'm working at a regional cancer center doing pre-certifications.  Much less stress and a guaranteed day job.  But I've been so busy getting used to the new schedule and rearranging how we do things now I'm "normal" again, that I've had VERY little time to read.  Maybe 5 pages in the last week.  Hopefully next week will be better.

I'm about to start on my 3rd re-read of A Breath of Snow and Ashes.....reading a chapter at a time.  Looking forward to DG's new book next year!

hope it works out great for you Sherri! I'd be burned out too- I'm burned out with my job but it's nothing like 911

finished listening to A Quck Bite- not the greatest in the series though it ended up being book 1- glad I started with Single White Vampire. her website has a link where you can enter to win mac something or others- desk or notebook I think - you enter your name and email and vote on your favorite book and vote just once. was hard for me since I like 3 the most but ended up choosing Accidental Vampire because I like the setting and town and house Elvie lives in LOL! next choices were Single White Vampire and Lucian and Leigh's story...

still reading Turkey Day Murder by Leslie Meier- pretty good mystery series and so far the books have been spread out about a year between each mystery though surely that changes since it's a pretty long series and one kid is already in college when 6 books ago he was still in jr high..

will probably go back to romance after this - debating starting another audiobook - downloaded Ravished by Amanda Quick from the library-  loved that one when I read it.

I would've voted for Accidental Vampire too, that one was really cute. And no penis-eating. Always a plus.

I finished Archangel's Consort, found it disappointing. Not sure what to start next. I guess back to the review pile.

Willa I reallyliked Accidental Vampire - that whole setting esp the trip to the grocery store! and the romance convention was fun in single white vampire. and Ij ust liked Leigh and Lucian in their story.

started listening to Amanda Quick's Ravished- loved the book but this audio is long and not sure it'll keep my interest but I"ll give it a try! only about 40 min into the story.

finished the leslie meier mystery and borrowed the next from the library but decided to start a love inspired - found out the brenda minton one I read a fwe weeks ago was part of ths different author series -s igh - no wonder no one sounded familiar! blush it was book 3 I think so borrowed book 1 from the lbirary and bought book 2 for 1.99 on kindle. pretty good and glad to know I hadn't completely forgotten her series! s he's one of my faves esp in the love inspired line and it was bugging me no one sounded familiar...I can barely tell which ebook is showing on my kindle screen let alone if it's part of a series.
