Just finished Into The Wilderness by Sara Donati.  A really good historical fiction/romance. If you like your history with some romance, spread out over 900 pages, then this is your book.  I liked it.

Jane, I loved Into the Wilderness!  I read it years ago and I think that I would like to read it again.  It was that good.  I never re-read books!  :)

I am reading Sucks to Be Me: The All-True Confessions of Mina Hamilton, Teen Vampire (maybe) by Kimberly Pauley.  I'm about 80 pages into it and I really like it!

Next up will be a few Blazes that I need to mail for a swap.

I just finished Temptation Ridge by Robyn Carr last night.I enjoyed it but I dont recommend reading it out of order..and 2 romances are left hanging when it ends..well one left hanging and another supposedly starting that I hope gets settled in the next book. I think the 'original' 3 were the best but I've enjoyed these last 2 additions since they mention my faves!

also started listening to Manhunting by Jennifer Cruisie in the car..I could've sworn I'd read this one but I think it was something by Evanovich..the one whre the woman goes to Alaska and burns down the outdoor toilet...but this one the woman is at some resort looking for a rich guy..seems pretty good.

not sure what I'll read between work today..leaning towards the 2nd in the Lakeshore Chronicles by Susan Wiggs...or maybe the mystery I started earlier in the week..or Tribute by Nora Roberts..right now gotta actualy do some work though!

I finished Midnight Man by Lisa Marie Rice and really enjoyed it. Not sure if it's a keeper but I'm glad I have the other 2 in the trilogy in my TBR. I'm going to read all 3 before deciding if I'll keep or trade them. Before I pick up the next one, though, I am going to start Promises Linger by Sarah McCarty.

ooh I loved Promises Linger! It's my favorite out of the whole series! I also liked Midnight Man! the other 2 were good but I didn't like the couple in Midnight Run..found both annoying, esp the stupid woman! the guy in Midnight Angel was good too but didn't like the storyline as much.

still haven't decided what to read!

I finished My Dearest Enemy by Connie Brockway.  The second half was better than the first, and ended up an enjoyable read, although I didn't LOVE it.  Now I'm about halfway through Laird of the Mist.

I liked "Into the Wilderness" but I never could get into the rest of the series.    I'm still reading "Border Wedding".

I just got Temptation Ridge in the mail yesterday, so that's what I'll be starting as soon as I have some reading time,  Hasn't been much in the last week, with a sick kid to take care of.  Here and there I've been reading a memoir, Kick Me by Paul Feig- very light and funny, and easy to put down and come back to later.  Looking forward to Temptation Ridge though!

Hoping the next book I pick up is better.  Going to start on Remembered by Tamera Alexander next.

Sarah- I LOVED the Midnight series.  The third one was my favorite.  I think that was what turned me on to that author.

I am currently reading Suite Seduction by Leslie Kelly.  It's a Harlequin Temptaton from Dec 2000 and I know I read it when it was new, but I don't remember it.  Lately I have been wanting to go back and read romances that I have read in the past, but don't quite remember.

I'm sort of new here and all.  I'm reading Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dream Warrior.  It's the latest dream hunter offering from her.  If you like the dark hunters, you'll like this one too.

Hey gals! I'm back from the Salsa Reuda Festival and fit to drop. But I had to check in and see what everyone was reading. ;-)

I reread Miss Pym Disposes by Josephine Tey -- not a romance, but an old favorite. Hard to categorize, like most of her books. Also read Kiss and Tell by Suzanne Brockmann, which was really dumb, and am now in Phantom Waltz by Catherine Anderson, which is kind of same old same old. I also have In from the Cold by Nora Roberts to finish -- I didn't bring it, because it's a library book.

Welcome, Nancie!

Sherri, I also loved Into the Wilderness and then lost interest in the series. I'm not much for that kind of series, I guess.

Finished Laird of the Mist by Paula Quinn.  I liked it well enough, but didn't love it.  One thing I did like was that the heroine didn't fight her feelings for the hero the whole book, even though they were sworn enemies.

Now I'm reading Addicted to Love by Lori Wilde.

'morning everyone! Hi Nancie - welcome! I haven't made my way to Kenyon yet but I'll get there eventually!

I'm still reading a mystery..not sure why I'm still reading this same one - it's not super great but I'm kinda liking the main character. got tired last night so went to sleep instead of fiishing it so guess today I'll try to finish and get back to some romance.

I'm reading Moonspun Magic by Catherine Coulter. I read the first 2 in this trilogy about a month ago so now I'm onto the last one...I hope it's as good as the others!

This morning I finished Remembered by Tamera Alexander.  Absolutely one of my favorite authors but this third book in the Fountain Creek trilogy kind of fell flat to me.  The female lead came across (to me) as a bit spoiled and at times unreasonable and I couldn't connect that with why the male lead would be interested in this kind of woman.

Now I'm about to start on Badlands Bride by Cheryl St John.

I can't remember who said it - it was on another thread her - but I've found myself also going from WL book to book I just want to read, even though I have many WL books in my stack.  I "know" they are good but I want to save them for some reason. LOL

I finished Posted to Death by Dean James(a mystery that I'm still unsure about...a gay vampire except he didn't do anything 'vampire-y and lots of 'yum' talk about hotties in the town) and it reminded me of agatha christie in that there was a murder where a lot of people had motive.

thinking I'll either start the 2nd lakeshore chronicles book by susan wiggs or dig out the 3 mckettrick books by linda lael miller while I wait til tomorrow to get dylan's story in the Creeds...but my parents decided to 'organize' me a bit by pushing the boxes of books up  next to the bookshelves which of course is the last  place I saw those 3 books...and 3 rows of boxes..sigh..almost enough to have me purchase them again LOL but oh well. I'm afraid I'll end up w ith 1000 in my immediate tbr pile while I hunt for these...

Nancie, welcome to a fun thread!   Loving your nickname (thebookho) !  I just finished Kenyon's Dream Warrior also and enjoyed it.   I do think she threw in way too many new characters though...got confusing at times.   I'm not bored with either Dark/Dream Hunters series yet so I'm looking forward to whatever is next up.

I also tried reading Zen and the Art of Vampires (Dark Ones, Bk 6) by Katie MacAlister - I did a lot of skimming and finally finished it (not really sure why I did because I thought it was pretty lame), really happy that it was a library book!

Sherri, I have that "quirk" also - I find myself "saving" books that I've bought/ordered - what the heck for, I just don't know:)   Always glad to know I'm not the only one with these issues LOL!

Well I tried to read Badlands Bride but I just couldn't get into it.   I never have been a fan of the female reporter storyline.   Think I'll see what comes in the mail today before starting anything else new.

well I was taking the girls to the dog park and wouldn't you know Barnes and Noble right there at the corner called to me..the guy went in back and found dylan's story for me(linda lael miller) so guess I'll start that one next.

I tend to save stuff too and dunno why! they also had a lucy monroe book I wanted but too cheap to shell out 14 bucks when I know I can get it cheaper...

Nothing came in the mail today so I picked up A Matter of Circumstance by Heather Graham Pozzessere.  Its an old school - 1987 I think I saw.  Its about a woman who's abducted in the Bahamas and the Latin Miami cop who comes to her rescue.  LOL - only 250 pages so I can skim if its really bad. Ha Ha
