Good morning! I'm still half-asleep I think but at work so I'll just pretend I'm awake!

I'm still reading 'Dragon in the System' by Cindy Spencer Pape. It's pretty good but only about 1/3 through it. I have it as an ebook. This is from cerridwen so not sure if there's gonna be any sex in it or not..probably so but not graphic enough to make the ellora's cave section! This hunky computer geek is checkout out a WYRM virus and finds someone has been down in the basement tunnels seizing financial accounts and taking small amounts that add up to millions. He sees the tail of a huge dragon and asks the heroine(biology department!) if there are any large dragons living in the tunnels under the city. now someone wants to stop them from interferring so not sure what's gonna be going on now.

not sure what I want to read so I'll keep with this one..cant' decide between paranormal f unny, western historical..just can't figure it out!

Surrender by Pamela Clare

lots of adventure! I feel like there should be an action-movie soundtrack playing! It's got it all - an exiled Highland barbarian laird, a high-born but betrayed and brutally used virgin, savage and good Indians, an evil British lord - scalping, rape, escapes in the night! Whew! and some great hot scenes too.

I'm almost done with Savannah Blues by Mary Kay Andrews.  It's not technically a romance, but rather a mystery, but it's really good.    It has great character development and it feels like the author really knows Savannah.

If you enjoy reading sexy / sensual scenes though, this book is a bit of a tease.    There are several scenes where the main couple gets hot and heavy earlier in the book - and those scenes are great.   But when they actually get around to doing the deed, they author "cuts to black" and the next scene is the morning after!   I know that the romance isn't the main focus of this book, but darn it, I wanted that scene!

I just finished the first 2 Night books by Cherry Adair (Night Fall and Night Secrets), I don't have the third one yet so I guess I have to wait. I am NOT a paranormal fan, but I put up with it because I like Cherry Adair. The books weren't too bad...I liked the second one a lot better than the first- it reminded me a little of Shannon McKenna. Hopefully her next several books will be normal T-FLAC.

I have a ton of books on the way to me in the mail. I should work on reading something from my TBR pile, but instead I'm waiting for the mail.

I couldn't even finish Night Fall Angie.  I don't mind the paranormal angle I just couldn't get into the characters.

Yeah, Night Fall was probably the worst I've read by her. I'm just guessing she rushed in writing them...

I finished The Maiden Bride and enjoyed it, though I agree with a reviewer that said we don't really get to see them falling in love much. I should get back to Return to Me, but somehow I just don't want to return to it. :-\

I finished Seduce Me at Sunrise by Kleypas and I liked it; I wonder if the brother will be the next one to have a book.

I'm now reading The Summoning, a YA paranormal by Kelley Armstrong; so far, it's really good--the heroine (who is 15) can see ghosts and when she sees her first one at school, she freaks out and gets sent to a group home for troubled kids. So the group home is haunted and filled with troubled kids LOL

Started Take a Chance on Me by Susan Donovan, which is the sort of book I normally hate but for some reason I like it. I'm just all contrary lately.

I fnished Dragon in the System by  Cindy Spencer Pape. It was pretty good. cute light romance. has a dragon in it but the romance wasn't with the dragon! I may start the other ebook - djinni something or other. not sure since there are other books I'm wanting to read and it's almost time to leave for home! yippee a week off!

Willa, is Take a chance on Me the one with the doggy? I like Donovan..I have a couple of hers in my TBR..He Loves Lucy was good too.

I finished up Destiny Kills by Keri Arthur and thought it was very good and am hoping she writes more in series.  I started Skin on Skin by Jami Alden, Sunny, and Valerie Martinez - liked the J. Alden story as it was about the 4th Donovan brother (other 3 stories in A Taste of Honey anthology) but the V. Martinez story was not to my taste at all - need to finish up with the Sunny story.

Willa, is Take a chance on Me the one with the doggy?

It is, though there seems to be a dog in the teaser for her next book too. But this is the one with the dog that fell out of the ugly tree and hit each branch on the way down. :-)

I somehow got the order mixed up and started on To Have and to Hold by Patricia Gaffney before To Love and Cherish.  Too late to go back now & restart with the first one though.  I'm sorta hooked and don't want to stop reading this one.  I know a lot of people didn't like it, but it has sorta sucked me in and now I'm there for the duration - come what may.  And yeah, the hero is a bit of a pud:P

I recently finished Good Luck by Whitney Gaskell and the To All A Good Night anthology with HelenKay Dimon, Jill Shalvis, and someone else. After starting and discarding several books that just didn't hold my attention, now I'm reading Notorious Rake, Innocent Miss by Bronwyn Scott.

I just finished Simply Sinful by Kate Pearce and it was very good. She wound things up a little too fast for my liking, but fine otherwise.

I just finished SEALed with a Kiss by Mary Margret Daughtridge. Liked it well enough to say I'll read the next one. I think this is a new author or at least new to me. Be warned though, it does have a 4 year old child in the story.

I just finished Seduce Me at Sunrise (Kleypas) too Sheri.  I really liked that one- first book in a long time I didn't want to end because I was enjoying the characters too much.  I always like the plot device where the H and h know each other growing up (I don't know why, it's not the situation here but somehow I always like it!)  And I agree, hopefully the brother is the next one.  I've like all the books related to this one of her but I especially liked Kev and Win together.

Now I'm reading Koontz's The Good Guy- romance break!

I finished up The Mistress Diaries by Julianne MacLean.  I have mixed opinions about it.  I really thought the hero was heartlessly cruel to the heroine at times and couldn't understand how she continued to care for him after that!  But I think it was probably pretty realistic of what could have happened in real life and I thought the ending made up for it all.

Still reading Dark Warrior Unleashed too.

I really liked Sealed with a Kiss! I didn't see anything else by the author though so I assumed she was a newbie. It was a good story though in spite of the kid!

Rose, have you read Kate Pearce's contemporary westerns? I got 2 of them after someone on romantic times recommended them(actually I think she was one her recommended them then a few others seconded them) I got sidetracked on sarah mccarty and skimmed through the lacey alexander books though and haven't gotten to Kate's yet.

Willa, don't remember the dog falling out of the tree..the one I'm thinking of an undercover guy took the skinny dog to an animal behaviorist.it'sbeen a while since I read it though.

well, sure enough I was too tired to read much last night! I picked up 'the mane event' by shelly laurenston and got about 30 pages or so into it..it's funny/cute and has thehints of some good sex but couldn't make it! I'll probably read more of it tonight..it was a good read before bed though..I needed some humor!

I'm reading SEALed With a Kiss by Mary Margaret Daughtridge now...the kid doesn't talk too much yet, so he's not an issue. What I love about this book is that I know where all of the places mentioned in the NC area are...I used to live in that area, so I can place where they are very well! It's just neat when I run across that:)
