I took a teeny tiny break from romance and picked up a horror book the last couple of days.

Now back to romance with Off Chance by Sawyer Bennett. Love this series.

I liked Off Chance. Not my fave in the series but I liked it.

Now reading In the Fields by Willow Aster. I admit that I knew next to nothing about this book when I started it. LOL  Now I'm about 25% in and enjoying it.

Omg...In the Fields was so, so good.  Like I said, I had no idea what I was getting into when I started it. Now that I look at the cover I don't know how I could have not known. blush   Anyway....This takes place before I was born and its kind of shocking, to me, that some of the things that happened in this book was considered normal or acceptable in that time.

Now reading Number Thirteen by Bella Jewel. So far its not doin much for me. I don't know if its because In the Fields was SO good, or hopefully, it just hasn't swept me away yet.

ETA: Where is everyone?!?!  LOL

I'm re-reading Hidden Away by Maya Banks.  Couldn't stop reading once I picked it up.

I finished Heart of Obsidian and for some reason I just could not get into it. :( It's the first one since Blaze of Memory that hasn't pulled me in from the start.

I finished Burning Dawn and loved it. I was excited to see Torin's story from LotU will be out soon.

i tried to read Consumed and made it a third of the way in before deciding it was too young for me. The characters were seriously getting on my nerves.

Now I'm not sure what I'll try next.

I read Nalini Singh's entire Psy-Changling series over again preparing myself for Shield of Winter. Gina, I loved Heart of Obsidian...I have re-read it 4 times now. I just love Kaleb and Sahara. I also read Karen Ranney's Witch of Clan Sinclair and Amanda Quick's Otherwise Engaged really liked the KR, but the AQ was just ok for me. I am also reading Stephanie Lauren's The Masterful Mr. Montegue not feeling the romance though. I know that the mystery is taking precedence, but so far Barnaby and Penelope are getting more romance time that Violet and Montegue.

I'm not only slacking on my reading, I'm slacking on keeping my goodreads lists updated and posting here as well.

I read A Husband's Regret by Natasha Anders. It was my Prime lender for the month and wasn't that great. Then I read A More Deserving Blackness and Moon Called (Mercy Thompson). Both were really good. I'd like to continue with the Mercy Thompson series and have the first few books in paperback but really would prefer if I had them on kindle. Currently reading Susan Mallery's Three Sisters, a library loaner. I previously gave up on Susan Mallery but so far this isn't too bad. I wish my library would get a better selection of ebooks.

Missy, I think In the Fields was the best book I read so far this year.

"so far Barnaby and Penelope are getting more romance time that Violet and Montegue"...That is pretty much how the whole book was.

I agree Kerry, it was a good book as long as you focused on the mystery part of it. The romance...not so much. I started Alexandra Ivy's Born In Blood and so far it has been pretty good...the hero though is a bit cliche'd to say the least.

I finished Three Sisters. It was good, not great. Started an Amazon freebie, Taming the Playboy but the writing isn't that good, especially the H's POV. How do some of these books get so many five star reviews?

Now I'm reading Jim Butcher's Storm Front, a library loaner. Not my normal genre but good so far.

Been kinda busy so I haven't stopped my here the last couple of days. I read a zombie short story that I liked and might picked up the next in the series soon.

Today I read a m/m,  Fifteen Shades of Gay (for Pay) by T. Baggins. Despite a lot of rave reviews, I didn't really care for it.

Finished Jo Goodman's In Want of a Wife and really loved it! Love mail order bride stories. Also finished Gena Showalter's Burning Dawn and liked that one as well. Next up is Tanya Holmes Within Temptation...NTM author, but the blurb sounded extra right up my alley...so we shall see

Finished the Tanya Holmes book and really liked it. Had a few minor issues with it, but the price was right at 2.99 and I will pick up the next one...if she gets it wrote. The blurb for the 2nd one has postponed indefintly...what does that mean that now she isn't ever going to write it?

I'm reading T.K. Leigh's Beautiful Mess series. I'm on book 3, Gorgeous Chaos. This series also had some minor issues with it but I liked it enough to continue through the series.

This month (so far) I've read:

The Anemoi Series by Laura Kaye, North of Need, West of Want, South of Surrender, and East of Ecstacy, all of which I enjoyed.

The Wolf's Mate Book 7: Lindy and the Wulfen by R. E. Butler

Dash of Peril by Lori Foster

I'm about 85% through Broken Dove by Kristen Ashley and as usual, it's awesome.

Wow, I wasn't even aware of that KA book.

I finished Gorgeous Chaos, and was a little disappointed in the final book.

Now I'm reading Until You, Jake's POV in the Bully series. Normally, I don't like to read the same book over in another POV, but this book provides a lot more insight into what was going on in his life/head.

I still need to finish Jim Butcher's Storm Front. Hopefully, I can renew it through my library. It's good, just not something I would normally read, so I took a few breaks.

Lsressler, have you read the Fantastical series? It's the 4th book in that. Those books are so good, especially The Golden Dynasty.

I finished Broken Dove and it was wonderful. She just can't write fast enough for me.

Finished Until You, really liked it. Now I'm reading Samantha Young's Into the Deep. I got sucked into the story reading the sample, but from the reviews, it sounds like it ends in a cliff hanger.frown
