At the risk of sounding like a big whiner, I have to ask why it is taking so long for a book to get delivered?

I always use DC and recently sent two books out.  I mailed them 2/28....they arrived in Denver on 2/29.  That is the last time it was scanned and it has not arrived yet.

Now I've only been a member since October, but it seems like books I send and receive all arrive in less than 2 weeks.  Could this be due to the fact that most of my books are actually going 1st class because of their weight?  This package may actually have gone true Media Mail....but it still seems like it's taking forever!!!

There may be several reasons, one of them being winter weather!   Two weeks is pretty fast for media mail - some come quicker, some seem to take forever.  Such is the whims of media mail.  Sorry you are having to wait so long for your credits.

You should have gotten your credits when they were scanned on the 29th. Check your credit registry, if they are there I wouldn't give it another thought. That is the nice thing about DC.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I got my credits....I'm just a total Type A and it bugs me that they are still floating around out there!

Am I a total loser, or what?

LOL....no, not a loser, maybe a little OCD, but not a loser ;-)

Try not to look at your sent items if you use DC....it WILL drive you nuts! (Yea, I am a little OCD myself)

I've had that happen to a couple of my books too.  All you can do is wait - mine eventually got there but one went "lost" first.  I have one right now that's taking forever too.  I'm like you - I get my credit but I still can't help wanting to make sure the book gets to its destination.

I mailed 2 books w/MM on the same day last week. I'm in Wa state. Both were going to the East Coast-one a couple states further than the other.  The one book made it cross country in 3 days.  The other book took 2days to leave the state and still hasn't arrived.  MM is delivered on a space available basis.  So sometimes they get sent right away and other times, they take weeks.

It's that crazy?  The thing I had to chuckle about is that I am on the western side of Colorado.  The books are headed west....but they went EAST first to Denver before going back West.

I had one go to Texas enroute to CA once.  Go figure.  Probably the same reason when I fly home to PA from WA that they lay me over in Vegas or Dallas.  They send me in the wrong direction before pointing me in the right one.
