I'm going to start reading a new vampire series soon and spend some Christmas gift cards @ Borders & Booksamillion, trying to decide what vampire series to read next! The Series I am contemplating are:

The Vampire Academy Series, The Blue Bloods Series and The Morganville Vampire Series, so help me out here!

Which Series should I read next?

Of those, I liked the Vampire Academy series best, followed by the Morganville Vampires.  I couldn't get past the first chapter of Blue Bloods when I tried to read it.

Blue Bloods is like vampire gossip girls. Just so ya know. It's not horrible, but it's nothing amazing either. I haven't read the Vampire Academy books yet.

I read the first two of the Morganville vamp series and I like it. Again, nothing mind blowing. Maybe I am just getting fed up with vampires?

I like Morganville because the vampires are (mostly) the bad guys.  It's a town run by vamps, and humans have vampire protectors and are required to donate blood to the blood bank in exchange for their lives.

I like the Vampire Academy because they don't just take classes in being a vampire or vampire protector.  Among their classes are foreign languages and (gasp!) calculus.  It seems so much more real to me.  You might be a vampire, but you might also have a job to go along with it.

Thanks for the input, everyone!...based on general consensus, you will be happy to know that I got the 1st three books in The Vampire Academy Series and  the 1st three books in The Morganville Vampires Series!

Now....which series to start 1st?...lol!

I'd read the Vampire Academy books first.  I tried the other two series and couldn't get into them.  I am going to try both again soon though.

When you finish those, I would recommend the House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast.  Also the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan.
