Just finished "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater.  For the most part, I felt that the characters felt real and their interaction was natural.  The intrigue of the wolves was fascinating throughout.  I like her take on how transformation was trigerred (if you read it, you'll understand).  I'd recommend it.  I'm on the waitlist for the next book at the library.

Quite enjoyed Eragon which I read for the challenge as First book in a series.   Very good.  Also completed Work by an author you have never read before:  Silver on the Tree by Susan Cooper which I liked.  A most appropriate finale to a series.  Strange that I read this one prior to reading the others.  Now I have to go back and catch up!  Enjoyed the characters very much:  Will who becomes the watchman after the battle;  Bran who gives up his Pendragon heiritage to become a normal human; Merriman, uncle to the three, who leaves earth to fight other battles; and the three siblings - Jane, Simon and Barney who are as necessary in the battle between the light and the dark as the others.  At times I was confused as the author skipped from character to character and modes of transportation and the scenes changed again and again.  However, I did enjoy the read.  Does it stand alone?  Mostly.  Some references would be most likely be clear if one read the earlier books in the series.  It is well to note that two volumes of the series won Newberry Awards - The Dark Is Rising (1974) and The Grey King (1976).

I'm reading Last Breath (Morganville Vampires #11) and it's entertaining so far, I think it's a fun easy series.

I just finished the Probablility of Miracles.  It was okay.  At first I was excited because the main character works at Disney World (I've worked there for 12 years, live right behind the Magic Kingdom and even got married at Disney World this past June...so I'm a Disney-holic)  but there were so many WRONG facts about Disney!  I mean, I get its fiction, but if you're going to write about something that famous, get it right!  So that kind of put me off.  Oh well.  Very excited to start Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver next!

Oohh...thanks for the tip Andrea.  I've been to Disney 10 times and LOVE it...didn't get married there but DID honeymoon there!  LOL.  Miracles is on my WL so i'll be curious to see the misinformation in the story!

FInished THE GATHERING which took a while to get into but once I got going, couldn't put it down (read from page 204 to the end today during my daughter's cheerleading competition....her team won first place in their division!!)

Also finished listening to SWEET VALLEY CONFIDENTIAL.  I was too old for the series but I did enjoy this story.  Didn't care for the twin Jessica and was cheering for Elizabeth the entire time.  Up next on audio will be SIREN.

I finished Pandemonium.  Delirium was one of my favs from last year.  I didn't enjoy this book quite as much but I still really enjoyed it.  It's just so easy to get into the story!  Starting Between the Sea and Sky by Jaclyn Dolamore
