I looked up this book that I want to order...You on a diet...then click on Order this book and it says...Sorry this book is not posted in the system.  WTH...why does it have the option to order the book then???   Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well, I'll certainly agree that's odd.  I just tried and it did the same thing to me.  I did add it to my Reminder List and it says there are 0 copies in the system; so the book really isn't available to order.   I have seen the system take a short time to "catch up" (my very untechnical term!) to the fact an "Only copy" has been ordered.  I've ordered that only myself then been surprised to see, as I was still "shopping", that the book still had the Order button.  Perhaps there was a copy available and someone ordered it just before you did?  Just a thought.

Could be, I suppose.  At any rate, I added it to my wish list.  I am the only one wishing for it, so the next one posted is mine...unless that is not correct either...lol.

ETA:  I just looked...the wishlist was wrong too.  I am #6.  Just not my day to be ordering books I guess.

I find that WL number to be incorrect pretty often (on the book's info page it will say 5 are wishing and when I add it to my WL I'm #8, for example).

There's a lot of transactions going on-I imagine it takes the system time to catch it all.   I mean there's 2400 people on right now.  Probably only a small percentage are on to just use the message boards. The rest are posting and ordering books and other account maintenance stuff.

Is this the one you're looking for?  I found it on Amazon and there's more than one.  This one is the first listed.

Yes, I was going to stop by Books A million last night after I got off work and see how much it was, but darn it they started closing an hour earlier recently.  I may stop into half price tomorrow before I go to work and see if the have it.

I've found that I have several books I've read and sent on to others on the WL that don't appear anywhere in the PBS data unless you actually search by the ISBN and put in "Search all Books".  They weren't posted for the general membeship because of the WL - so it may take longer than that. I don't understand the mysteries of the computer search issues.

I'm now putting tags on books that I find I can't find but I know are here because I posted them.  I put the ISBN of the version I had and any other that I know of that isn't listed.  Sometimes they aren't out yet - sometimes they just can't be found by the search.
