I have the latest CHronicles of Nick and Fate by Alyson Noel that have arrived on my doorstep but looking for something else once I finish up Unleashed...

I'm finishing up City of Glass by Cassandra Clare.

I need to somehow get my hands on the fourth book. It's not at any surrounding library and I don't have any money to buy books right now. frown

I finished The Scorpio Races last night and liked it a lot.

I was going to start Insurgent today, but Amazon has fallen down on it's "Release Day Delivery" and hasn't even shipped it even though it came out today.  I need to read it for a swap, so I will probably end up looking for it at B&N tonight.

You know, Jenna...  I have wondered what determines which books you get on release day and which ones they just mail on release day because it can really be frustrating sometimes!

Yeah, it said it was supposed to be delivered today and on Sunday the status changed to Shipping Soon, but it never shipped. This moning I got an e-mail it was delayed but would ship within 1 business day, then later I got an e-mail saying the delay was because of a power outage at the fulfillment center which seems fishy. Did it last for 48 hours? It finally shipped this afternoon and says it is still expected today. I'm expecting it tomorrow.
Subject: They probably just ran out of copies...or were too lazy to ship any more co

thanks jennifer, i'll keep those selections in mind.

i did just get GLOW from booksfree so that'll be my next one, but I always like to keep my options open!

Finished GODDESS INTERRUPTED last night.  It was ok.  Kate and Henry are getting sort of annoying, but I have to see how it plays out in the next one.  Anyone interested in seeing this show up in the YA VB?  Otherwise it's going FIFO...

I'm reading Graceling. I know it's older so have you all read it? I'm liking it so far. (Val I'm listening to parts of it on audio)

Terrie, are you like me that if you have the book and the audio, when you're not listening, you pick the book up and keep reading???

Yeah if i'm on a work break or something I'll read and if I'm driving I'll switch to audiobook... if I'm at home it just depends if I'm trying to multi-task or not.   :)

I'm still waiting for Insurgent to show up!  I had pre-ordered Insurgent and another book that came out 5/1, then last week I ordered headphones separately which also had an expected delivery date of 5/1.  Both packages were delayed by the "power outage" and were supposed to be delivered today.  Both packages say they were delivered today.  The headphones were at my door when I got home, but no books.  Both say they were signed for by the Leasing Office, which is interesting considering the leasing office for my apartment complex is about two miles away. angry Amazon won't reship until tomorrow, so I'm looking at Friday or Saturday to get it. I'm getting concerned about getting it read by 5/11.

I've got to say, I have been so much happier with mailing ad the post office and receiving things since we moved into our new house...  SOOOOO much better...  even if our mail doesn't run until after 6 pm... which I think is absolutely NUTS!

Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, for the fantasy challenge.  Just love these characters -  Will, Charlotte, Jem, Tessa, Henry and more.  Also read Cryer's Cross by Lisa McMann for this challenge.  It's a creepy read but well done - fits into a horror category as well as my choice for the mystery/thriller.  Beginning The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain, classic.  Completed The Opposite House by Helen Oyeyemi and The good daughters by Joyce Maynard, (one or more characters are gay, lesbian, bisexial; or transgender), good reads both.  Read Shakespeare Bats Cleanup by Ron Koretge (poetry or free verse choice), a quick one that was fun.

Finished The Shattering by Karen Healey today.  Eh....  Not very believable, but it counts on the YA reading challenge by an an author that's not from one of the listed countries!
