The second book in the Cornish trilogy, and considered one of Davies' best books. Davies is arguably one of Canada's best writers of all time.

Celebrated author Robertson Davies tells the story of the hidden events in the life an art expert and collector of international renown. Newsweek said, "This is literary sleuthwork at its most inspired - scholarly enough for a purist and radiating a rare degree of human sympathy."

Robertson Davies is always great and entertaining, and this book is one of my favorites of his.

I love the way this guy writes, but this book often seemed like something I've already read. The style is unique and the characters are interesting but often creepy. If you look this author, you will like this book.
