This thread occured to me this AM as I was looking for my next book to read.  I picked one up off my shelf, flipped through it & out popped a prescription for Xanax dated 1997.  It's a book I received in a box of books & I guess the px has been there for quite a long time.  Hope the person didn't need it desperately  : - )

Anyway...I thought it might be fun to see if anyone else has had something similar happen to them?

Nancy

ps check out my shelf, i'm always willing to deal if you see something you're interested in.

Just the other day I bought a book from a UBS.  When I got home I thumbed through it and out fell a senior class picture.   A guy with his letterman jacket on and you can clearly see his name on the jacket "Brian".    So I show my dh and tell him where it came from.  He then says well who is it ?   Really, how would I know who he is...so I say Brian...he says "Brian who?"...I dont know...I say it says Brian on his coat...he says again..well who is he ?...Exhausted I just set the picture down and walk away.

Lol - the only good thing I've gotten was someone's grocery shopping list.  I hope they remembered to get everything they wanted on their list when they got to the store to find it missing ;-).

I found a note in a book from someone wishing someone else a happy birthday - apparently the book had been the birthday gift.

I found our marriage license in a book! I had gone to photocopy our marriage license and then stopped off at a used bookstore on the way home about a year ago or so.  I guess I tucked the license in the book for safekeeping and subsequently forgot it.  I noticed the license missing several months later.  I just found it thumbing through the (same) book recently.

I've found receipts in PBS books, both for the book and for banking items. I just shred them with my shredding.

I found a 20yr old Taco Bell coupon one time.  It was an old book I got in a box of books from Ebay.
