From the cover:
For more than twenty years, "What's Happening to Me?" has helped parents explain puberty to their children who are experiencing "growing pains."
More than one million children and young adults have enjoyed the humor and honesty in this book, while learning what really happens to their bodies as they mature.
I bought this book for my boys last year. They were intrigued and embarassed by it. It didn't help that I simpy called out to my 11 year old and said, "Hey, I picked up a book you might be interested in." He started skimming it, got real still, and said, "I'm going to read this in my room." He and his brother perused it, commenting to each other now and then. There were snickers and OMGs. Once they called out, "why would you buy something like this?" Yet, judging from the different places I've found the book over the past year, I'm confident they've read it thoroughly and that it was helpful.
A good book about the changes that take place puberty, presented in a humerous way. It is very open and graphic, though - not for the easily embarrased!
A fabulous book for teaching kids about puberty. Great humor in it too. My sons loved it.
Cute book for opening up discussion with your children and theur changing bodies
This is very helpful with talking to your child about their body and what to expect.
Read the book first so you can choose what you want to read with them as it talks about the body as well as the hormones and feelings they may be feeling and how to manage that.
This book made my conversation with my child alot easier than what I origionally going to have with them. I highly recommend this book to parents that may be a bit nervous talking about this close and personal topic with their child/children.
