I have a couple of books that were marked mailed to me on June 20 with DC and the acceptance scan from the PO just happened today. Does the acceptance scan only happen when you take the books the counter and they scan the DC while you pay for postage, or does it just happen at the originating PO?

(I promise I'm not being impatient -- Mt. TBR is steadily growing! I'm just curious.)

In my experience, the 'acceptance' scan only happens when I purchase counter postage.   Otherwise IIRC other forms of postage aquire 'enroute' scans along the way.

ETA - therefore, you may wish to check when the book arrives to see if you need to log it in as mailed late.

Thanks, Denise. That's what I thought. I'll be sure to check when the books arrive.
