There's lots of very useful information in this little book, written in pleasant and straightforward language with many illustrations. There is a focus on how to make patterns come out properly, so of course there is a lot of talk of proper gauge and counting, and plenty of info on how to join things together and finish them. Plus how to diagnose and fix a lot of little problems, and ways to avoid others. Definitely worth reading once you are advanced enough to start knitting anything more complex than a scarf!
