A classic of the self-help movement. This book has helped millions of people become assertive in the nicest sense of the word. It demonstrates that we can stop our passive or agressive ways of dealing with others -- they don't get us what we want. Guilt is the most mis-used emotion that causes pain where it is not necessary to feel pain. Learn how to say and be what you want without the guilt. It is a gift to yourself and others.

I was able to get our bank to reverse over $200 of what we considered inappropriate fees, using the technique I learned in this book. It was certainly a worthwhile read!!!

My daughter made me post this book without reading it. She said that I did not need to read this book. (Her actual words were "YOU want to read a book about how to be ASSERTIVE? GIVE ME THAT BOOK!!!" and then she jerked it out of my hands.)
