I received this book as a gift during a tough time in my life, and I was nowhere near old, but the humor and reality mixed within these pages and lines were definitely uplifting, tear inducing at times, and definitely brought a smile to my lips. Every woman should own a copy of this book.

Inspired from the poem WARNING! This book explores the themes of aging, dealing with aging parents, embracing the gifts & griefs of aging. It's funny, it's sad, and it could affirm or comfort people dealing with these issues as adult children "loving" their parents into the advancing years.

A anthology of sixty stories, poems and quips and they are absolulety beautiful, enchanting, funny, and sad.
All by different people - some young - some old.
You'll be tempted to read all of them in one sitting, you'll also be tempted to share much of what is in here with friends and even family members.

An important, moving, nd life-affirming book....The various works speak about dignity, about caring, and about respect. About saying goodbye to old friends and hello to new ones...About not growing old gracefully, if that's what suits you.

This book has some great poems in it and I was especially moved by the intimate and touching photography!
I love this whole concept. I even checked out the redhat website. Found out I am considered a "pinkhat". Pinkhats lack panache.

So far, I am not impressed with this book and have discontinued reading it as it has not gripped me or given me any reason to want to read more. Honestly, I got this based on the professional reviewers "hype" and of course they are pushing the book, but it falls far short of my standard for a good book. The wearing purple is a flimsy platform used to market a less than mediocre book.
