A charming collection of Latin American stories for children and adults. Especially recommended is Paleton and the Musical Elephant, a story about bumbling gangsters and a...musical elephant.

It's a compilation of very short stories from Latin American writers. I found it in the teen section of my library. The stories were very interesting; they were folk type stories that were trying to describe real life events. The end of each story had a footnote stating where the author was from and what political or cultural events probably inspired the story. Very enjoyable
