Ok, so I went to my bookshelf... there's an option to see books "on hold" or not (its a drop down menu thing). So I choose to see the ones on hold. I assume it would be like at swap-a-cd, and show the ones I've received but not reposted. Um.... yeah. Instead, now my bookshelf says " At this time you do not have any books on your bookshelf for swapping with other members. Get started posting your books." WHAT?!?!?! I have over 100 books posted, 116 according to my main account page. Where did they go? How come I can't see them anymore? Even the drop down menu that led me to this disaster in the first place is gone. I tried logging out and back in, without success. Any advice? I'm going crazy here, I don't wanna have to repost my whole bookshelf. |

Don't select books on hold and you should see your shelf just fine. The books to repost list was moved to the bookshelf as books on hold. If you had none, then that list would be empty and the error message you are getting will appear because you have no books on your shelf that meet the selection criteria (on hold). ETA - if the drop down is gone, clear your browser history. Last Edited on: 1/28/08 10:00 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

hmm. while testing out a couple of ideas for you, i had the same problem. for future reference, normally if i get that message, i just click the back button so my full shelf is displayed. (and don't worry, your books are still there!) see what URL is currently being displayed. if it's http://www.paperbackswap.com/members/bookshelf.php?s=h, try changing the last bit to s=p or s= to display all the posted books. then hopefully it'll remember to show you the whole shelf next time - seems to be working ok for me that way now. |

Feedback has been sent in on this problem by one of the other TGs. Hopefully by morning one of the programmers will be up and at the codes :) Ellen, I'll pass on your tip to a member that has sent in LH with this same problem. Hopefully it will help her see hers. I'll try to get your example to show here: www.paperbackswap.com/members/bookshelf.php?s=h So, you are saying to remove the h or change it to p I'll have her give it a try, Thanks! :) Veronika, you have 86 books on your shelf. Go to your profile to verify it. Last Edited on: 1/29/08 1:34 AM ET - Total times edited: 3 |

www.paperbackswap.com/members/bookshelf.php?s=h So, you are saying to remove the h or change it to p exactly. both of those will work. with the h it shows on hold books, with the p it shows posted books, and with the blank it shows all books - but in this case there aren't any on hold books so all books and posted books are the same. |

Logging out & clearing the cookies set by paperbackswap.com also works. Changing the URL seems easier, though. |

Actually, Ellen, the http://www.paperbackswap.com/members/bookshelf.php?s=h, you have posted has done the trick for 3 other people. Don't know why one way works for some and the other way works for others, but your link, looks like it should be wrong, since it has a comma at the end, but I've had 2 people that it worked for. One of the other TGs said your link, as it is worked for her, so another tried, and it worked, and I've sent it out to 2 others. So, folks, if one suggestion doesnt work, try the other. And, as Ellen says, your books really are still there, don't repost them, look at them via your profile instead of your account page and you will see that they really are still there! Sherry: that's weird! i think i must have typed a comma after the URL in my original post, and when it mushed it into a link it counted the comma as part of it. i didn't noticed, and i'll have to watch for that in the future. at a guess (can you tell i'm a software person?) since it's got that extra character it goes to the default - which i suspect is everything. anyway, glad i could help find a temporary workaround until they get it fixed! |

The problem has been fixed, according to Robert. Thanks, Robert! |
