I really enjoyed this book that is the true story of a little pioneer girl that was taken from her family when her family was ambushed by Indians. Her grandfather kept searching for her and they finally got her back when she was a grown women. She wasn't happy about being back and wanted to return to her Indian family.

The cover says this author writes for young people. I enjoyed this book very much even though I'm 55. The story of Cynthia Ann Parker who was captured in 1836 by Comanches at Parker's Fort Texas and returned to her family in 1860.

Very interesting book. The ending caught me a little by surprise; not in a bad way but unexpected.
