very disappointing!! I have liked most of the Taylor Jackson series but this one is so slow and just boring, even by half way it was just more of a romance than anything, I don't want a history of Scotland or London or anything else--I want a good mystery/thriller and this did not fit the bill

I have enjoyed most of J.T. Ellison's books but this one sort of made me feel like something was missing! Still an okay story......just not one of the best I have read!

By far the best, fastests paced and most thrilling book, however from a completely different perspective. I could not turn the pages fast enough. I hope there are more books coming, there were unanswered questions left that is for sure.

#7 in series. Taylor is barely recovering from her gunshot to the head & frozen vocal cords and is now out of the hospital and home. Suffering PTSD and betrayal from Baldwin she decides to take Highsmythe up on his offer to stay in his castle to recover. Making the trip to Scotland, Taylor holes up in the castle and slowly starts losing her mind. Is it pills, alcohol, or Highsmythe? Starting therapy with a new Dr. friend of Highsmythes she starts making breakthroughs but something isn't right. Closed off from everyone she loves, Taylor slowly starts a descent into madness. But us she being helped along the way by power of suggestion, really seeing ghosts, or is it all in her head? Fast paced & page turner to get to the answers

It took me a while to get into the book. At about 2/3 of the way it improved greatly.

While not as bloody as her previous books, this one is pretty good. You will get a history lesson of Scotland in this book. The last portion of the book intensifies and ends the book well.
