I'm reading four different threads right now full of bickering about whether the new WL changes are good or bad, and I can't for the life of me find anything that explains what these changes ARE. I gather something about the way items are placed on the WL is going to change, involving rankings. Some kind of point system? Help a new member out, please.

Go to the help center and put in the word "wish list"  or "buddy"  or go to the help center and look under what's new.

There is one topic there called "the new wish list changes"   that should answer most of your questions.

In the Help Center under What's New you can always find details on changes (the bottom of the list is the newest) including the explanation of the future WL.

I don't get the resistance to these changes. They look pretty awesome to me. Especially being able to put more than 200 books on my list - and combining WL and RL! I guess it's hard to get used to change when you've been around for a while, but as someone who hasn't, this sounds like a big improvement.

Melanie, where in the Help Center is the What's New section?  Since R&R has posted that's the only place that's certain to explain about recent changes, I'd like to find this section, but haven't seen it.

edited to say I found it, clicking on Help Center link at bottom of page, but note to all, it can't be easily found by clicking on Help Center tab at top of page.  Perhaps R&R should fix this? *grin*

When I click on Browse Help Docs from the top pf the page the first thing listed is "What's New". 

On the upper menu: ->Help Center -> Browse Help Docs -> What's New (its the very first item on the list) - New Features.

By the way, I don't see anything about the wish list under "What's New." I had to do a search for it.

Alice, I'm right there with you.  I've only been around since September but so far, I think all the changes that R&R have made have been great.  They seem to be in tune to the majority of PBSer's and what they are looking for.  I feel for those who need to complain.  Life is short, enjoy what you have and learn to look at the positives.  Combining the WL and RL will be helpful because then you can rank those books you REALLY want and perhaps get them faster.  It will also perhaps get some of the alternate ISBN number books moving through the system.

Personally, I applaud R&R and the staff at PBS for working so hard to make this site the best book club on the internet.  I have really enjoyed being here and I havent' found ANYTHING to complain about.

Items are listed in the order they have appeared on the site, so the next new feature will appear at the bottom of the list. All the recent items are after the WL link. Too bad we can't put that page on our Watched topic list! hahaha
