Topic: Where do you find the status of a marketplace purchase?

Last night I ordered a copy of a WL book from the marketplace, paid for it using one credit and paypal, got an e-mail receipt and the transaction is in my archive.

The book is not showing anywhere on my account page and I'm still in line for it on the WL -- it's hasn't changed to a hold status like I read it's supposed to -- and the book is still on the marketplace.

Can I check on the status somewhere or will it just surprise me one day by coming in the mail?

You'll get an email in about a week telling you the book has shipped. There will be a USPS tracking number in the email.

There are multiple copies of each book in the market, so it won't disappear from there just because you ordered it. It also won't show up on your My Account page, because there's no reason for you to tell the system when it arrives. It's like if you purchased a tote bag or something from the Kiosk, you get an email telling you it shipped, and you can get the receipt from the link on your My Account page, but nothing else shows up there. You should put the one on your WL on hold though so it doesn't get offered to you again.

Information about your Marketplace order should also be available through your Club Communications page, and there should be record of your purchase under receipts, found in the same area as the Club Communications (My Account main tab).

eta: I would have liked it had there been a special tab, just like books coming in or going out, but it's really effectively the same information, minus such a tab.

Go to your My Account tab and Receipts will be the last option in the blue submenu. Click on that and you should find your Marketplace receipt in that list. If you open that receipt there should be information on that on the status of the order (shows date purchased and updates for date mailed). It will not show up in your regular PBS tabs because it is not a swapping transaction, it is just a purchase from their "store".

I have seen people state that their WL was placed on Hold when they ordered. I know the two WL books I requested were not placed on Hold and I had to do that myself so I am not sure how reliable that function is. The nice thing about putting them on Hold is that your retain your place in line so you can do that while you get it all figured out and it won't affect your position any.
