I have no idea what they are talking about...anyone else?? What would we have or need banners for?

Sorry, Jeanne, I have signatures blocked, so no...don't see it. And someone from the group might have created that banner but it wasn't me!

Now, there's a mystery!  (she says, scratching her head). Wonder who actually came up with it?

I just have to ask: what is the benefit to blocking signatures? Just curious.....

For me, it's not having to look at blinkies,  photos and various messages that I don't necessarily appreciate or agree with.  No big deal.  People can put whatever they want in their signature and I have the option of not being subjected to it. It's a win-win!

Also, for people who have dial-up connections or slower computers, the pages load a lot faster without all the siggy graphics.

My reasons are the same as LeeAnne's, although if it's just blinkies and photos, it is possible to block just the graphics but leave the rest. I personally am not looking for deals so hated having to scroll down through humongous sig. lines with huge long lists of deals, what people are reading or how their potty-training baby experience is going. LOL It's not so bad when you see it once, but when it's a person who posts a lot so you see it multiple times a day, it just gets old. As LeeAnne said, to each their own--would never tell people not to feature or post something, but it's nice (for me) having the option NOT to see them.

Did we ever figure out where the banner came from? LOL

Ooops -- missed this thread.

Actually, folks, if you like the banner, I will take the credit. If you don't like it, then it was my doppelganger.

It was just one of those mildly creative exercises inspired by boredom.  Mystery solved -- you can stop your head scratching now.
