I can't believe I waited so long to read this book! It was powerful and once started, impossible to put down. Beautifully written, with a MC who's obsessed with protecting the innocent victims and a madman who you'll never forget.

If you liked Red Dragon you'll love this one. What is on the back of the book follows:
Terry Naughton has come up against his share of heinous criminals in his years on the force-but nothing has prepared him for the Horridus, the brilliant madman who is terrorizing the children of Orange County.
As he races to stop the Horridus before his crimes escalate, Naughton learns that the Horridus may not be the only enemy. When shocking accusations put his career on the line, he is forced to confront his own dark and violent past in search for the truth. Who is behind this setup? And even if he can clear his name, can he do the same for his conscience?

Terry Naughton, head of Orange County's crimes against youth unit, is drawn into suspicion. He must save his career at the same time stop "Horridus" a serial child abuser who is rapidly accelerating dangerously in his evil abductions. Who are his friends and who is his foe? Is he being set up... or is he guilty of depraved actions against the children he is hired to protect? The answers are ones the reader must discover himself.
