Where the Wild Things Are Author:Maurice Sendak In the forty years since Max first cried "Let the wild rumpus start," Maurice Sendak's classic picture book has become one of the most highly acclaimed and best-loved children's books of all time. Now, in celebration of this special anniversary, introduce a new generation to Max's imaginative journey to where the wild things are.
The book was very good but not appropriate for the age group it suggests. I read it to my 18 month old God son, who loves being read to, and it didn't capture his attention. It is a very good book for older children 3 yeas and up.
This is still one of the greatest books. I remembered reading it several times in elementary school and when I saw there was a movie coming out, I was ecstatic. I had to get the book just for the sake of nostalgia.
