This question was inspired by the Doctor Who thread, I got curious about everybody's favorite doctor! :D I like all of them, pretty much, save the Fifth, but my favorite would have to be the Tenth or the Seventh. I love the Master, too, but he doesn't count. :P

I've only seen two, lol, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant.  Both were great, but I love David Tennant!  He's just awesome.

I've been doing the Netflix Doctor Who season 1 marathon also.  Christopher Eccleston's portrayal is what got me interested, and I think he's great.  I can't wait to see how David Tennet does, though.  I remember Tom Baker's Doctor was very good, too.  Loved that scarf for some reason!

My favorite Old School Doctor is probably the Seventh (though the only ones I've seen in action are the First, Fourth, Seventh, and Eighth).  I think I like Ten more than I like Nine, but that's probably because he has more episodes.

This is a trick question, they're all the same Doctor, just different incarnations.  bwahaha.

Seriously, I grew up watching Tom Baker, and he'll always be THE Doctor for that, but both Eccleston and Tennet have been GREAT for reviving the series.  Eccleston probably gets one point over Tennet for the passion he brought to the character, but there's no denying Tennet's personality.  The episode where he referenced the Ghostbusters theme song had me on the floor!

James L. that is one of my favorite episodes! IMO the best episodes of the David Tennant series are The Girl in the Fireplace, Sound of the Drums and War of the TImelords...

My favourites are the Fifth and the Second.  I quite like David Tennant's Doctor as well.  :)

Here's my order.

3rd is my favorite, followed by 4th, 10th, 1st, 2nd, 7th, 5th, 8th, 9th, and 6th.

I think I liked the Fourth and Fifth Doctors best.  Of course, David Tennant is very easy on the eyes (see picture below)  I like the manic energy he brings to the part.

I'm way behind, still watching Series 3.  Should have another disc coming from Netflix today.  I'll catch up eventually.

Sad to hear that the series will be on hiatus for a year.  How will we get our Dr. Who fix?

It was always Tom Baker for me, though the episode I saw with Eccleston was great.

I think Tom Baker is to Dr. Who what Sean Connery is to James Bond--the iconic representation, even if others surpass him in different areas.

I grew up with Baker so obviously, he has a special place. Being younger at the time I couldn't grasp why the actors changed and refused to watch the 'new' Doctor episodes :)

I jumped back in with Eccelston and was sad to see him go after such a short time but I'm loving Tennant now. I especially like the way he yells "Ruuuun!" and when he does that "Weellll" thing that he does so well.

I've seen a shirt online that has a picture of the TARDIS and says "You never forget your first Doctor."

The show's not going to be completely on hiatus next year -- it will just be a few hour-long specials.

By the way, I watched "Turn Left" (season four episode 11) last night, and I can't wait to see how the season ends (and all the returning characters!!).
