While serving God in Mexico, Vanda and Mike Terrell befriend a man who then lures or kidnaps their beautiful 15-year-old daughter and convinces her that her parents had been controlling her excessively, preventing her from making her own choices and enjoying life. Spending thousands of dollars on detectives, the couple launches a search through some of the seediest slums and most debauched areas of Mexico. But the search culminates in heartbreak. With their faith and Christian friends sustaining them, the couple learn to forgive, and begin adjusting to the way their lives have changed forever.
