I need some suggestions on new authors. I have been having such a hard time finding good authors that everything that i want in a book. I love books that have Vampires, shapeshifters or anything like that, that is paranormal. But i also want alittle bit of suspense or mystery in it. You know like the bad paranormal things after the good paranormal things. THen The book has got to have a romance story in itto. YOu know all of it the the sex, thefalling inlove every thing.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest Cynthia Eden.

The one I read was Immortal Danger and really liked it even though I'm not huge into paranormal.  I'm going to read all of hers now.

J. R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series is awesome!

I also like Tall, Dark and Dead by Tate Hallaway.

I really enjoyed Lynn Viehl's Darkyn series (7 in total) and its sequel/spinoff Kyndred series (2 so far, 3rd coming in January) - it's a good mix of romance and mystery/action with an overarching good guy vs. bad guy thing going on.  Marjorie Liu is another paranormal romance writer who does nice story and world-building.  Her Dirk & Steele series is about an undercover paranormal detective agency.

You might enjoy Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series.  I think the first one is Kiss of Midnight.  I picked this up at a supermarket in desperation for a new read and got hooked.

Have you read any Cheyenne McCray?  I don't read a lot of that genre, but really enjoyed her books - she has plenty of romance and sex, but can also write good fight scenes!

Another Black Dagger Brotherhood fan.

I recently read the 1st 2 Palladin books by Alexix Morgan and liked them: Dark Protector and Dark Defender.

If you like Aliens there's the Parallel series by Diedre Knight.

For vamps and shapeshifters there's the Carpathian books by Christine Feehan.  These are good but better if you break them up a little.

Sarah McCarty has some shapeshifter books.

Lora Leigh also has a shape shifter series.

Have you read Nicole Peeler yet? She only has 2 books so far (3rd comes out late this year/ early next year). Tempest Rising was her first and is a great paranormal romance with a little erotica. The second is Tracking the Tempest. Again great paranormal romance with a lot of erotica. It has everything you could ask for. Vampires, shape shifters, werewolves, selkies, goblins, mystery, falling in love and so on.

My wife is really into these types of books.  She really liked the 'Mona Lisa' books by Sunny.

Have you tried Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling books (starts with Slave to Sensation)?  She's a pretty popular author, so you might already know about her.  Hmm.  I'd definitely second J.R. Ward's books, I notice they've already been mentioned a couple of times.  Some other authors you could look into  are C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp (Tales of the Sazi, starting with Hunter's Moon),  Keri Arthur (Riley Jensen, starting with Full Moon Rising).  You could also try Kelly Armstrong (she has several different series, I started with Bitten), though in stores she tends to be shelved under fantasy, not romance, iirc.  The only other author I can think of right off hand that might qualify is Eileen Wilks (Lupi series, starting with Tempting Danger), but I see she's already on your wl (awesome, she's one of my favorites!)

Charlaine Harris not only the Sookie Stackhouse series (Vamps, Shapeshifters, Weres) also her Lily Bard Series (not really supes but well written and fast reads) and Harper Conolly Books -Ice Cold Grave, Grave Surprise, etc... She can 'read' the deads final moments.

Jim Butcher - Dresden Files

Victoria Laurie - Ghouls Just Want To Have Fun, Demons are a Ghouls Best Friend, etc...

I liked Viehl also. Ilona Andrews has a great series starting with Magic Bites and is starting a new one about the Edge. Laurel Hamilton's Mercedes Gentry series is really great. For a  good tongue in cheek on the trials of a new vampire that is really funny try Mario Acevedo. The first is the Nymphos of Rocky Flats.

As everyone mentioned, J R Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series is awesome!  I can hardly wait for the next book to come out.

Also, I just finished "The Immortals" series by Jennifer Ashley, Robin Popp and Joy Nash.  They have a little of everything - witches, vamps, celtic magic creatures, werewolves and shapeshifters. . . . and of course sexy immortal warriors.  It is a series of 8 books.

J.R. Ward is great. I saw a few others suggest it too. :p

Another good one is Maggie Shayne's 'wings in the night' series.

I'm currently enjoying reading Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series.  It starts with Fantasy Lover and I believe she's up to her 15th book in the series by now.  Also, I enjoyed Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series (but not any of her other books).  The sex part comes a little later in the series, but there's romance and mystery from the beginning.
