Thank you so much!!! I loved it!!  Texas Destiny by Lorraine Heath, 2 thumbs up!

I was in such a reading slump lately waiting for a good book to come along. I had this in my TBR pile, i kept skipping over it for some reason. Glad i finally read it. Now can anyone tell me if the rest of the series is just as good?? I'm too chicken to look for the next book for fear that i will be disappointed. Don't you hate when that happens?

Ah, that could have been dozens of us. :-)  I do know what you mean about series books. IMO, the second is not quite as fabulous but still very good and the third is really terrific.

Tanya- I thought all three were very good, for different reasons. I have to admit I'm a little partial to Destiny. I love those tortured heros.

Tanya -- Destiny was the only one of the three that I liked.  Houston is a heartbreaker!!  Have you read her earlier stuff....Always to Remember, Parting Gifts and Sweet Lullaby?  Tearjerkers, all 3!

Sweet Lullaby is on my reminder list. I looked for a copy of it at our nearby UBS and they didn't have it.:(

I liked all 3 books.  I think Destiny was my favorite with the last one (Splendor) coming in a very, very close 2nd.  But the 2nd book in the series is still good.

Wow!  Tanya we must have seen the same recommendation.  .I'm reading Texas Destiny right now.  Have Texas Splendor in my TBR pile and waiting on the other book.  Ordered it from Amaon and hopefully it will be here today.:)

So far Destiny has exceeded all my expectations. Love it!

Ok...where do I find it?  I can't find it on PBS.  Is this an older book?  I'm really curious now and want to read it.

Destiny is on my keeper but I haven't read the other two yet. I think like a few others I'm almost afraid of disappointment!

I know, i'm afraid to read the others in the series, fearing they won't measure up to the 1st book.

I think i got my copy from this website, or possibly from our library's used book sale. I know i've had it for atleast a year or more but just never got around to reading it.

It's still lingering with me, i haven't started another book yet-don't want to be disappointed ya know?

They're out of print, but I think they turn up fairly regularly. Put 'em on your wishlist and it shouldn't take too long.  Make sure to WL hardcover versions too, those often turn up. I have two hardcovers.
