Thank you!  I am reading it now and enjoying it quite a lot.  I've already put the sequel (Winter Rose) on my ever expanding WL.  I love a good historical book.  :)

I enjoyed The Tea Rose, too. It was a compelling story and a quick read for me. I bought my copy at Costco in trade paperback. I'm hoping that they will carry The Winter Rose in trade PB as well.

I also thought the Tea Rose was great. I usually don't like sequels, but the Winter Rose is still a fun read. (...watch out for the lions!) Also, make sure you get on the WL for the 3rd book, The Wild Rose.

Jennifer Donnelly is one of the best authors I started reading last year. i'd also recommend her YA novel, A Northern Light. it's loosely based on the deaths in upstate New York that Theodore Dreiser wrote about in An American Tragedy.

not sure when the wild rose will come out. a quick google search didn't tell me anything either. pbs lists the isbn as 0007191332. i think this might be the UK version as her books are usually released there first and then in the US at a later date.
