So we have a thread on who is the sexiest male..just wondering what series is your favorite kick ass female from? why do you like her so much..what does she possess that you wish you could?

For me I have several female leads that I enjoy..Number one on my list has to be Cat Crawford from Jeanine Frost's Night Huntress Series..Follow that by Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series..still a fairly new series but I love it.  Big fan of Cassie Palmer in Karen Chance's series and Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs and finally my last all time favorite lead is Mackayla Lane in Karen Marie Moning's fever...just finishing up shadowfever..omg lol..

Honorable mentions are

Mira from Jocelynn Drake's Dark Days series
Keira Kelly from Maria Lima's Blood Lines series
Elena from Nalani Singh's Guild Hunter series
Xhex from JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood Series
Kara Gillian from Diane Rowland'sKara Gillian series
A new girl on the scene for me is Kallie Riviere from Black Dust Mambo by Adrian Phoenix...She is full of kick ass surprises and Im looking forward to the next one in this fairly new series.  Highly recommend this one.

I love a good series with a kick ass female lead who is strong and confident and knows how to get the job done without too much whining (although Cassie Palmer might not quiet make the list there..she's coming into her own soon) If ya know any good books with strong female leads in the please share..always looking for new books to put on my wl

So now you know mine...who's yours?

Tinker by Wen Spencer

Lily Yu from Tempting Danger  She is a little older than many of the main PnR characters.  More solid in herself.  On the romance side of the UF/PnR line.

October Daye from Seanan McGuire

I'd have to go with Cat from the Night Huntress series as my favorite.  I also really like MacKayla Lane from the Fever series and Gin from the Elemental Assassin series.

MacKayla Lane also and I really like Gin too.   Recently finished Spider's Bite and I'm being weird and have been putting off reading the final Fever book because I don't want it to be over yet:lol:   So sad!! :)

Great ladies mentioned in all the posts though but those two are at the top right now.

I like Mac...and by that, I really mean that I want to be her.  When she made the MacHalo, I thought she was bright (literally) and brave.  I'm still afraid of the dark sometimes, I could really use one of those.

Mercy Thompson

Cat Crawfield

MacKayla Lane

They all rock....Mercy's probably my fave series....Mac is the character who changed and adapted the most!

I really like Nyx from Cheyenne McCray's Night Tracker series.

I have to admit, I read a different series of hers (the Magic series) which I didn't enjoy particularly (didn't even read the last book) but Night Tracker is a lot better, and I'm kind of sorry I mailed out the first books in the series instead of keeping them. The series is keeping its quality thru the books I've read anyway (thru the 4th at this point).

I am also enjoying Cassiel from the Outcast Season series (Rachel Caine) more than I liked JoAnne from Weather Wardens. (I got bored with that series because it got too over the top, as well as repetitive, somewhere around book 5 or 6, but so far Outcast Season has been interesting).

I love Cat Crawford from Kresley Cole's Night Huntress series.  I would want to be her.  I'm not just saying that so that I could have sexy time with Bones.  That has nothing, nothing at all, to do with it.

Second choice is Gin Blanco from the Elemental Assassins series.

Next is Xhex from JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood.

I just finished Rachel Vincent's Shifters series, and Faythe Sanders was one of the most kick-ass heroines I've read aside from Mercy. Annoying and hard-headed at times, but man, could she ever kick some butt! Of course, she got her her own butt kicked countless times throughout the books, too.

Kaderin from No Rest for the Wicked (IAD, Kresley Cole) love her. (I pretty much love all of Cole's heroines, Regin, Myst, Mariketa, the list goes on.)

Kate Daniels kicks ass and she makes me laugh.

B/c the series is hopeless at this point... the early books rock, the more recent books suck!
