This is a fascinating book! It is a fast read - it doesn't waste time with filler information. It explains the facts at a cellular level in layman's terms and explains the clinical studies and references which lead him to these conclusions. Most importantly the author includes specific recommendations in this book. I found a newer edition (I believe it was copyright 2011) in a book store but it is much smaller and appears to have less information in it.

I highly recommend everyone with any kind of cardiovascular disease or diabetes in their family to read this book - the sooner the better. This book is also available as a free pdf download at http://www4.dr-rath-foundation.org/THE_FOUNDATION/About_Dr_Matthias_Rath/other_literature.htm.

This book is "BEYOND INTERESTING". Late colleague, two-time Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling, stated a decade ago that Dr. Raths discoveries threaten a multi-billion dollar investment business in patented drugs. Dr.Niedzwiecki is also a research-fellow, if I understand that correctly. I know that many physicians in my area, where we live, are now teaching about some of these nutrients and have them for patients. You might read this book to see where Cancer research and where Heart/Atherosclerotic health problems are now. Amazing. Do I personally believe in it; I absolutely do so, thanks to the M.D.'s in my area.
