Why does everyone have to argue with you when you tell them their book had damage. I'm extremely lenient for the most part but water damage  burns my butt. It's clearly in the rules NO water damage. I check my books when I post them, I check them again before I send them. Yes, it's easy to miss somethings but when the book smells wet it's obvious.

Edited because I can't type.

if it smells wet did it get damaged in transit?

best thing to do is take pics of the book and the damage.  make sure they can see the title, maybe include pics of the wrap if it wasn't damaged in transit and upload them to photobucket or flicker or something and send them the link

It's not from USPS. The package was perfectly fine, but as soon as I opened the package the smell hit my nose.

that is really odd....I've never had a water damaged book that smells wet unless it is freshly damaged

If they care so little that they'd send a damaged book, then they aren't going to refund your credit without arguing.  That's how I think about it.     Of course, there are exceptions.

I feel for you and I really hate when that happens too! Some people simply believe they are special and the rules don't apply to them:(

Or they are completely oblivious to the condition of their books and think you are trying to scam them.
