Before Google, there was David Feldman and his collection of, let's say, unusual questions ... Why don't people get goosebumps on their faces? ... and serious answers. Honestly, this book and its companion "Do Penguins Have Knees" (included in my book inventory) are fun reads. Leave 'em on a coffee table for guests to read and see how many smiles you get.
This is a fun and easy.....do I venture to say mindless read??? Not really mindless but you do not have to work real hard to get through it. I guess it is like the easy answers to the crazy questions-I learned a ton of little known fact type stuff that I am sure will come in handy during a trivia match in my future. Read the book it's fun.
For all those who wonder how they keep all the raisins from falling to the bottom of the cereal box, and why we use 21 guns in a 21 gun salute. Great discussion of the 10 hotdogs/8 buns issue.
Love this book!
As if my mind doesn't have enough trivia cluttering it up...now I want to read ALL of David Feldman's Imponderables books.
i loved this book. some questions are little weird but i actually got an answer to a question i asked my husband a few weeks ago about speed limit signs. very enjoyable.
Another great Imponderables book!
This is a fun book that answers questions we might have pondered at one time or another. Great bathroom reader!
The book gives probable answers to questions we never thought about asking such as "All the streets in Washington, DC are named in alphabetical order. Why is there no J?" A fun read!
Love these books! Really make you think about the Why's??
Lots of interesting facts!
Surely something in this book will be useful to me some day.
A fun "pick-up" book. No need to rush through it.
Hardbound copy features fascinating questions and even better answers.
