This is so annoying! This is the 3rd time (seriously!) that Laura Kinsale's Seize the Fire has been offered to me off of my wishlist and then within days the request has been cancelled. Twice it was coming from the same member and then yesterday by someone else. Its like the universe does not want me to read this book. Geez!

I feel your pain Margaret, I had a book myself doing the same thing. I finally got it after 6 weeks of it doing that very same thing.

I'm STILL waiting on one in FIFO to make its way to me..and I'm pretty ticked. it's the first in the trilogy and luckily I have it on audio from the library though was hoping to finish with the book - requested on 10/9...they waited the full 5 days to accept on 10/14 and printed..then waited til 10/20 - six whole days later to cancel the transaction. almost 2 weeks I've waited for ab ook that was never coming. now the account is on hold. and now I'm on day 2 of another 5 day wait for it to be accepted.

I was offered Kate Noble's Revealed on the 19th, it was marked that they'd send it on the 25th, and the stupid system cancelled it today, saying they had sent repeated emails to the sender & gotten no answer.  And of course, I had ordered Compromised in the meantime, thinking I was getting this one too.  I can't for the life of me figure out why the system cancelled something that wasn't supposed to be mailed for two days anyway.  And it's WL, of course.  How annoying.

Check in the Questions about PBS forum. There was a massive glitsch last night and pretty much any transaction where the sender had not printed the wrapper was cancelled by the system.  Hopefully, TPTB will be along soon to tell us how they will fix it.  I had four transactions cancelled.

I had a book marked cancelled after a few days and then ended up receiving it the next day in the mail.   The system kept my book credit so I figured it was just a glitch somewhere.  Weird.  Maybe you'll get lucky that way, as well???

I had 2 cancelled last night. Apparently while they were tinkering with the site and making some upgrades-the transaction dates got reset to 1969-so last night it cancelled all transactions that hadn't been printed yet.  Or something like that.  There are several threads going and I remember reading a post yesterday where someone said that PBS showed a book they were expecting as having been mailed in 1969.

I just reposted both of mine and PM'd the requestors. 1 was a WL audiobook so it's been offered to the same person.  It's the other one I'm really annoyed with-it had been on my shelf for several months.  There's only 10 copies posted including mine. But it must not be a book that's ordered very often.  I'm hoping that the glitch prevented the book from automatically being reordered and that the requestor will just order it off my shelf.

I had 3 books in the same series pass through several listers before 2 out of the 3 were mysteriously canceled. Naturally, book 3 is on it's way to me, with the first 2 being canceled. Sigh.  Debbie

Glad I saw this thread. An audiobook was cancelled at 3:00 a.m. this morning - wondered why. Now I know. I did go ahead and re-post and see that the same person will be receiving, once she accepts...again!

Yeah, I just talked to Jessica B. - who is my sender.  She knew that happened, so it's all worked out &I'll get it about the same time I would have anyway (PBS resent the request.  She said she lost a WL book order and got bumped back to #4 in line.  Bummer:(

I knew I'd find out what was going on, if I checked here!

I had about 5 requests cancel out on me, and I knew I wasn't late on any of 'em!

Off to repost now (grrr...)

I had 7 requests get canceled on me.  3 of them were going to the same person.  I pm'd her, so hopefully she'll be able to cancel the new orders and reorder from me.
