Argh. I have 3 books I wanted to post to someone's WL. They posted a couple to me this weekend.  It said you are posting to this person's WL and then when I checked the WL hold it is offering it to someone else? So now I have to cancel the offer to the person that requests it and cancel again?  What if it does it again and I have to keep cancelling on this other person?

Marci posted earlier on the CMT forum that she had the same thing happen to her. I think there is a glitch in the system. You might want to check out her thread to see if she got a response from the librarian.

She said she got a response but not what the response was. I looked under the librarian section and didn't see anything as to why this happened. It clearly said the right persons name when I hit OK to post.

I just made someone's day too :-( and I feel bad about it but I promised this book to someone and posted it to their shelf...I feel awful plus I don't know how to post it to their shelf...

I just posted a question about this, but obviously didn't scan the post subjects here closely enough to catch this one.

Two things to check

1.) Make sure they dont have their accounts on hold. If they have their accounts on hold and thier WL book is not ARed then the request will never go to them it will go right to FIFO

2.) Make sure your not reading the description page when you click post this book. If you do that it will go to FIFO automatically.

No their account isn't on hold.  It's someone I've been in contact with and the screen said "you are posting to ____'s WL" but then it went to someone else.  I cancelled the request.  The lady was very understanding. I feel bad though.  I'm going to wait a bit before I try again.

This is a bug that has been fixed. Sorry about the confusion.
