When everything starts to fall apart
You kiss my tears, help me number the stars;
Weíre cold and dispassionate, marble and stone
You wanted to feel something; now weíre all alone
When thereís no other reason to keep holding on,
Something about you gives me focus

I find a sort of sweet surrender in
A love so bitter, a hate so tender
Such beautiful hands-- made for music, they said,
Will they still say that when you at last strike me dead?
Itís not that I canít see who you are, but
Something about you gives me focus

Reality, formality, or just some sick mentality
In sickness and in health, in strength and in mortality,
An addiction to anger, a rage that ebbs away
How many more cheap thrills for the price of today?
Go on and do it, (Iím sure Iím sure, Ďcause)
Something about you gives me focus

Because feeling something
Is better than feeling nothing at all

"Because feeling something Is better than feeling nothing at all" I hope you don't really believe that those are the only choices! :-(

If this is autobiographical, I hope you know that you deserve so much better.

Those last two lines really capture the heart of many women in that situation. Thank you for sharing that. There's always hope in God.
