Torn from her ancestral home by her cousin's treachery, the bewitching Socttish beauty Kayleigh Kerr found a new life in New Orleans as the notoriously proud pickpocket whom every man wanted but no man could touch. Keeping alive the dream of reclaiming her birthright, she was forced to flee once again...this time into the arms of St. Bride Ferringer, a handsome stranger who wouldn't let her go.

St. Bride was a man who knew what he wanted. He came to New Orleans for revenge but soon he wanted more-he wanted Kayleigh, body and soul. Bewitched by the beautiful street urchin who spoke of highland castles, St. Bride vowed to rtame her and make her his own. But as the battle raged between them, he found himself succumbing to the charms of the woman he called.... My Wicked Enchantress.

In her dreams, she is Kayleigh again. She and her twin sister Morna are happy and carefree at Mhor Castle in the Highlands, their biggest concern whether to wear silks or taffeta. Erased from her memory is the terrible day Morna was murdered and Kayleigh barely escaped with her own life. Now she is Kestrel, a beautiful pickpocket in New Orleans--and still running from danger when she meets St. Bride Ferringer, a man driven by revenge. Sensual and mysterious, he could be the salvation she seeks...or the most treacherous enemy of all.....

I would have to say it was wonderful! It's one of my most favorite books. It caught my eye the minute I saw it. I couldn't put the book down until I finished it and I read it again and again. Author Meagan McKinney wrote such a wonderful and compelling story. The story and characters were very believable and there were some part that made me cry. It made you feel like you were there, there is no words to describe it. The heroine wasn't meek like many other typical romance novels. This book had romance, mystery, and humor. This book is a keeper

Kayleigh Kerr after seeing her sister get shot by her cousin, she is taken to Louisiana. She learns to steal, and then she meets up with
St. Bride. She keeps secrets from him, but he finds her so enchanting, he just wants to be with her. The fires spark with these too. A very good fast reading. A book you'll love.

Meagan McKinney is a very interesting author. This is the fifth book I've read by this author and I'm looking for more. Her plots are complex, unique and satisfying. However, I got tired of Kayleigh's stubbornness (about accepting St. Bride Ferringer's help).

Kayleigh Kerr was raised in Mhor Castle near Inverness, Scotland until her twin sister was senselessly murdered. We next see Kayleigh as a cutpurse in the seamy underbelly of New Orleans. When her wicked cousin follows Kayleigh to the New World, things look dim for the young woman. When Kayleigh tries to steal from St. Bride Ferringer, he captures her and takes her to his plantation near New Orleans.

This is a gripping, interesting tale that seemed a bit long and overdone (Kayleigh's stubbornness). Otherwise, it was well worth a reader's time.
