Wild About Books Author:Judy Sierra, Marc Brown (Illustrator) It started the summer of 2002, when the Springfield librarian, Molly McGrew, by mistake drove her bookmobile into the zoo. — In this rollicking rhymed story, Molly introduces birds and beasts to this new something called reading. Our whole family loves this book. It is written in rhym which makes reading aloud fun and easy for both parents and kids. Our boys (ages 5, 3 & 2) love the pictures of the silly animals reading books and ask for it to be read on a regular basis. A true Win-Win in our house.
My son received Wild About Books as a gift. It talks about his two favorite things: reading and animals. The bookmobile brings the animals books to the zoo. The animals like most kids are unsure about reading to start with, but they learn to love it. This is a good book to discuss how to treat books because animals are not always careful with them. The illustrations are by Marc Brown, creator of the Arthur series.
