Love Linda Lael Miller.
Harry Griffith dealt in start realities and played for very high stakes, and he hadn't done anything impulsive since he was seven years old. Then he met Amy. and her two kids. She's the lovely young widow of his best friend. Suddenly he doing all sorts of wild impulsive things.
Amy is dertainly wild about Harry. From his sexy Australian accent to his devilishly handsom loks, he's totally irresistable. But, she's trapped by bittersweet heartache, unable to let go of the husband she lost.

Amy was a young widow with two small children. Enter Harry Griffith. He was her deceased husband's best friend, rich, good-looking and an Aussie. Although Amy is very reluctant to enter into a relationship with the charming Aussie, the ghost of her former husband drops by to stun and encourage her into hooking up with him. But can they keep the flame alive? Perhaps some heavenly intervention will be needed again.

The book is certainly entertaining. It's cute and loaded with passion (Ms. Miller's trademark is romance). Definitely worth the read.

I adore Linda Lael Miller's work...Banner O'Brien had me seeing historical romances in a completely different way...but "Wild About Harry" is awful. It started off great, the premise of speaking to the dearly departed was interesting, but the relationship between the hero/heroine was really off....ugh. The heroine debased herself in a way that made me check the cover to make sure who wrote it.

I'd almost think contemporary romance isn't Miller's thing, but I love her Mojo Sheepshanks books, so that can't be the problem.

Oh well, we're all allowed a dud, right?

WHEN HARRY MET--AMY?
Harry Griffith deals in stark realities and plays for very high stakes, and he hasn't done anything impulsive since he was little.
Then he meets Amy. And her two kids. She happens to be the comely young widow of his best buddy. Suddenly he's Mr. Spontaneity. Amy is certainly wild about Harry. From his sexy Aussie accent to his devilish good looks, she thinks he's the cat's meow. But she feels trapped by bitter heartache, unable to let go of the husband she lost. What's it going to take to get these two together? Looks as if certain someone may have to pull some strings from upstairs. And what could be sweeter than a match made in heaven?

Contemporary, X-rated romance with a ghost as one of the characters. Kind of fun!

What Amy Ryan needed was something to shake up her life. And that something was a sinfully sexy man who suddenly appeared on her doorstep-none other than her late husband's best friend, Harry Griffith. And Harry was a charming man of the world determined to woo the reluctant widow.
