This book makes me cry every single time I read it. There are parts that some may say are a bit cliched, and the effort to twine the stories together isn't always seamless...but it's still a beautiful, moving, gorgeous gem of a novel that more people need to discover.

This book will stay with you long after you finish it. It is written with so many layers and with so much feeling. It is two stories interwoven between England in 1689 and New York in 1981. In England, Eliza Grey's brothers have fallen under a spell and she is trying to save them from a fairy tale that has turned real. In New York Elias Latham vows to stand by his friends and family as they face a mysterious plague. This is a MUST read! You will love it.
