WILD TEXAS BRIDE was on a couple of my online "don't miss" lists and I bought the book before investigating that this was part of a series. It didn't take too long to realize that these should be read in order.

I kept trying to remember that Sarah was only seventeen at the start of the book. Her behavior was often in the too-stupid-to-live category. During the first quarter of the book, I was unimpressed. Then the story started to have more depth and Sarah seemed to mature some.

This is a series of 5 books and there are over-arching themes and smaller subplots galore. One thing about this author, Dana Ransom (Nancy Gideon) is unafraid of killing off secondary characters.

He gave her her first kiss when she was thirteen. But now Billy Cooper has taken up with a dangerous gang of outlaws. so seventeen-year-old Sarah Bass dons boots and breeches and rides out to rescue the man she loves from a life of crime. But when innocent wiles and irresistable impulses lock them in a shotgun marriage, Sarah must come to terms with the vengeful passions that drive Billy..passions destined to unite a man hell-bent on justice and the woman sworn to tame his wild, hungry heart. This book is an exciteing read. I enjoyed it very much
