"Full of a strange, salty charm all its own. It tells of unusual things-little thatched cottages with scarlet shutters, a baby seal thrown on shore by the waves, little girls taking storks instead of puppies for walks. It is the adventures of free, happy children and their simple, delightful parents living in the sunny calm of peacetime."
