Kaylee O'Shay has just qualified to dance at the Championship level â the highest level in Irish dance. And, she's been driven to this feis by another Irish dancer, Riley, who completes with the boys. She practically had to beg her parents to let her ride with him to the fes.

Then there is a horrible car accident on the way home from the feis. Kaylee and Riley survive the accident, but both suffer big losses. Riley loses an eye and can never play baseball again but is able to start dancing again soon after he's out of the hospital. Kaylee's injuries are much more severe and when the doctor's tell her she will never dance again, she practically gives up.

But Kaylee doesn't really have it in her to quit and give up. So she fights hard to bring herself back to her former dancing ability.

Plus, she's learned that Lizzie Martin is not dead but alive and the her mother has not told her the truth about what she knows about Lizzie.

Kaylee pursues her investigation into Lizzie Martin and asks for her mother's help in getting back into Irish dancing. She wants private dance lessons and she wants Miss Helen to come out of retirement to teach her. Will Kaylee's mother be able to convince Miss Helen to give Kaylee private lessons?

This book is taking us closer to learning the truth about Lizzie Martin â with a very interesting twist at the end. I like that everything doesn't come easily for Kaylee and she has to find her desire to fight and come back.

*This is a young adult fiction book â I read it because I gave it to my nieces for Christmas 2009.
