I am a fan of Anne McCaffrey ~ I really enjoy all her books. This is early-McCaffrey and gives a basis for some of the concepts that grew into her later works, such as the Pern series. The concept is interesting: "talents" (people with extra-sensory perseptions and powers) learning to live with and use and grow with these talents in a technologically changing world. It is "light" scifi, has interesting and well developed characters, clever well thought concepts, and a clevedr plot.

Interesting account of the evolution of parapsychic Talents from persecuted misfits to essential cogs in the wheels of interstellar civilization, by a very talented author of fantastic science fiction.
