I have a wist list book that is hardcover. It is what I would say is brand new, however there is a black marker line of about an inch on the bottom edge of the pages. It is not on the inside of them just on the outside. It might be a mark like so it wouldnt be sold or something like that. It is ok to send this, it wouldnt bother me at all but then you never know so wanted to be sure

What you are describing sounds like a remainder mark which is okay as per the swapability guidelines. From the Help Docs:

 

Page edges: remainder marks are OK.  A name written on the page edges is okay (if it does not bleed in and obscure text on the text pages)

If receiving your book Kay, I would also consider that a Reminder Mark...which is postable.
