While it may be within the rules to send WL books to someone who PM's you, I do think that it's against the spirit of PBS. I like the FIFO system and feel that it's very fair. You are, of course, welcome to do as you please, but similar feelings may be why others aren't responding to your post.

Also, why bother?  Any WL book that you post is going to get snatched up anyways - doing it this way doesn't get you any more requests.

If you notice other topics such as the paranormal one has a thread like this one, often wl books are posted and it can take up to a week before someone actually accepts the request. The last wl book i posted to my shelf, not to a specific person took almost 2 week and it had over 50 wishers, thats not good for those of us who need credits . And if you dont want to take advantage of a post or dont agree with it please feel free to pass it on by. what i posted is not against the rules. stop being so crabby.

I have a hard time seeing the difference betwee advertising books you could post and books that you've already posted.  With this in mind I think this statement at the end of the forum rules needs consideration:

We ask that members give thought to the appropriateness of their topic for the forum in which they post. It works best for everyone if questions are posted in Questions About PaperBackSwap, USPS issues are posted in USPS Postal Regulations, games are confined to Games, etc. Topics advertising your bookshelf should NOT be started in any forum but the Book Bazaar. Keeping "deals" and the like confined to the Book Bazaar not only unclutters the other forums, but also allows members who post deals to be sure that their deal is seen, and members who seek deals to find them. We have created enough forums to allow a place for anything our members might like to discuss.

eta: "And if you dont want to take advantage of a post or dont agree with it please feel free to pass it on by."
IMO  people have a right to voice disagreement just as much as they have a right to post anything else.  Everyone is entitled to the right to post just as much as they are their opinions.
