Yesterday evening, I saw a book I wanted to add to my WL. I tried but got the WL full message. So I went to my WL. It had 200 books. I deleted one and it was at 199. I went back to the book... nothing happened when I hit the add to WL button. No message and it was not being added. I tried reloading the page, navigating to it another way, etc. Nothing. It did add to my reminder list OK.

So I went back to my WL, thinking maybe somehow I needed to delete another book... suddenly my WL is at 207 books!!!! I definitely did not have any WL books go lost, nor did I have anything on hold or anything like that. My best guess is that earlier yesterday I deleted several WL books to make room for a few more, and that they somehow have reappeared. But I am afraid to mess with it because I don't trust buggy websites. Knowing my luck, it would delete the wrong books or something.

Help!

You broke it. I'm telling.

Yes, you most certainly did break it.

You have Incredibly Alice on there 9 times. If you sort by date - descending, they will all come to the top and you can delete the extras.

Well there's the broken bit... that's 9 copies of the same ISBN :/

But I am afraid to delete, knowing that it's acting wonky, because I am afraid deleting one will somehow make me lose my place in line...

Time to email TPTB I guess.

Deleting should work fine Becca.  Awhile back I had the same problem and somehow ended up with the same wishlisted ISBN two times.  In my case, deleting one left the remaining one and also retained my WL spot.

Of those nine copies you have wishlisted, what do they say for your spot in the wl que?

I usually recommend contacting the Team because of that reason, but people that have deleted them on their own didn't have a problem from what I have seen. It also looks like you should be at the end of the line or fairly close since they are WLed 8/29 so you shouldn't lose too much ground if the system did flake out.

I was position 2/10 for all of them, although since I requested it last night when only 1 person was wishing, I am guessing that I was actually positions 2-10!

They actually got back to me VERY quickly and said, "We've deleted the extra copies of this book from your wish list. This was caused by a brief hiccup that occurred at 3:14 AM today, and you would not have been able to delete them yourself."
